Five athletes who are participating in the Para-Olympics in Rio

Seoul Olympics in the year 1988, held a surprise for many. Paralympics are the Olympic Games for those athletes who are disabled was launched immediately after the Olympic Games. The athletes train hard and should not be dismissed for their physical disabilities and they give their all to represent their respective countries. Here are five athletes to look out for who will be participating in the Rio Paralympics to take place between the 7th and the 18th of September, 2015.

Benoit Huot

One of the most decorated Paralympics athletes in the world is from Canada. Benoit is a swimmer and is expected to be present and to compete in the Rio Paralympics. Benoit has 19 medals to his name from four previous Paralympics Games: nine gold, five silver, and five bronze.

Tatyana McFadden

This athlete hails from the USA. She is an eleven-time medalist in the Paralympics games. Tatyana is looking to be the very first athlete to collect medals in all track events. She is set to participate in the 100 meters dash and the marathon. Be sure to tune in and cheer her on as she tries to make her dreams come true.

Ernst Van Dyk

Ernst is a South African Paralympics Games athlete who will be showing up for a record 7th time since his first appearance in the 4th Paralympics Games in Barcelona, 1992. Ernst is a multi-talented athlete representing South Africa in three disciplines, cycling, swimming, and athletics

David Blair

The Paralympics discus world record holder David Blair will be back in the games after 16 years. Blair competes in the category of athletes with lower limb impairment.

Michael Mckillop

The Irish defending Paralympics middle distance runner has been certified injury free and will be out to defend his title in the T37 category.
