Kids today spend too much time playing video games, watching TV or surfing the web. So, where is sports here? It is very important for your kid to have physical activity, and the best way for that is sport. There are thousands of different sports, so it is easy to choose one that your kid like the most. But there are some sports that are especially good for your kid.

Baseball and Softball are some of the most popular sports among your children. There are 3 million kids in the US that are participating in some little league. Beside it is fun, these sports have real benefits for young kids. Their health benefits are: physical, strength and better hand-eye coordination. Social benefits are: citizenship, discipline, teamwork and leadership.

Soccer is also very popular among children, in fact, it is one of the most popular sports in the US today. Kids at the age 4 can play this sport for fun and later in some little league. And it is good for them because without it kids will probably get bored. Beside health benefits that we saw for baseball and softball, soccer provides a few more: flexibility, balance, coordination and cardiovascular endurance. Social benefits are the same as for baseball.

If your kid doesn’t like these sports, there is another way to make him be physical active. All kids like bicycles, so bicycling can also be very useful. Yes, there are less benefits here, but those most important are present.
